Back to South West Quadrant – YEG-Ville.

Initially part of the Devonian Trail, the trail branches where the Devonian Trail heads north towards Tucker’s Field. Very quickly, a massive stair case descends to the valley floor. There are numerous braided trails where fat/mountain bikers have carved their own routes. The main trail is wide, well maintained in the winter and not particularly long. From the bottom of the stairs to the next set of stairs (and where the trail peters out) is about 2km.

• Name/Owner: Devon Trail (North Side) / Ownership is unclear, likely a combination of county and private ownership.
• Is it Worth It and Why Go Here?: Yes, although for a relatively short hike with a nice lung-busting climb back up the stairs. Excellent vistas of the river valley.
