The IPOOG session framework outlines event planning and risk management. Participants indicate their interest and possible future involvement based on attendance, ranging from indifference to active participation. Key topics include IPOOG Model complexity, time tracking, and discussion on improving tool effectiveness.

My speaking notes for the First IPOOG session held virtually on November 21, 2024 from 1205 – 1300h. You can pre-register at It’s IPOOG TIme!
This session sets the framework and tries to answer the question: “What the hell are you going on about Frank? An overview of IPOOG and time tracking”.
The Indifference-Meter
The outcome of this session falls along this continuum with ‘1’ being most pessimistic and ‘4’ widely optimistic:
- No one shows up, complete indifference: Future actions none. There is a lack of interest in the topic, Frank moves on to something else.
- Attendance with minimum interest: Future actions none. This is an improvement on the first, but the topic is still not important enough to spend any time on, move on Frank!
- Interest with reservations: Future actions, some. The ideas hold interest but the execution and the effort to use the idea leaves much to be desired. Perhaps run future sessions but ask the group if it is worth their time.
- Strong interest and active participation: Future actions, hold rest of the sessions. The idea has possibilities. Run future sessions.
