Kokomoko Recreational Area

[RESEARCH AND WRITING] – [FINAL EDITING]

Back to Northwest Quadrant – YEG-Ville.

Kokomoko Recreational Area is a Parkland County Day Use area that is nearly 640 acres in size. It is west of Isle Lake Natural Area.

It appears to be a former campground complete with about 20 former spots. There are pit toilets, picnic tables and boat launch access tot he lake. Surprisingly, there are not trails into the county land that surrounds the park.

The Fast Facts

  • EASY-PEASY (if you stay off the lake)
  • Visit if you want to explore the lake.
  • Washrooms.
  • Kids could have a blast there.
  • Not rated unless you go on the lake.

Across the bay is a point of land which is owned by a numbered company out of St. Albert (1221940). Noting that this is private property, ATVs and Snowmobiles have created trails down to the lake from the nearby community of Isle Cove.
