Tucker’s Field [PLACE HOLDER DRAFT]

[PLACE HOLDER DRAFT] > [RESEARCH AND WRITING] > [FINAL EDITING]

Back to South West Quadrant – YEG-Ville.

Tucker’s Field is like the little brother to Bunchberry Meadows. The two are part of a larger wildlife corridor from the North Saskatchewan River in the South. The Devonian Trail runs past Tucker’s field as it makes it way North towards the Devonian Gardens.

The Fast Facts

Although only a quarter of the size of its bigger sister, Tucker’s Field allows for more activities such as fat-biking and equestrian activities. The small size also is better for families whose members have short little legs and a 3KM walk in a scary forest is good enough for the day. For families whose legs are longer, the area connects into the Devonian trail. You can hike North to the Devonian Gardens or south towards Prospectors Point. As the season goes on, ice-cleats will be required for the steep ascents/descents… or make sure your bike has studded tires! Trails were first groomed for cross-country skiing in 2019 and are now regularly tracks set in the winter months.

    • Hello Lauren, there likely are not any. I have not been out in a few years so my recollection is a bit old. You may need to stop in the UofA’s Botanical Gardens or Devon before/after. As an aside, I am slowly moving content from this site to a purpose built site so keep an eye there for updates: http://www.yegville.ca.
